Camera shots quiz

Using the notes that we had taken in the previous class, our assignment was a presentation based quiz where we were tested on the camera shots that we had taken notes about. The directions stated that we should be creating a story using 15 of the camera shorts taught in class. 10 of those shots were mandatory, and the other 5 were our own free choice. We got to choose our partners in which i choose mine, and we got to work.

The way that i approached this assignment was first laying out my thoughts on how i wanted our story to go, me and my partner had decided that using action figures as our inanimate objects was a good idea, along with a crocheted raccoon that he had. After we chose who our characters were going to be, (Iron man, Spiderman, two stick bots, and a crocheted raccoon) we got to work on creating the story line, and correlating which camera shot will go with each picture taken. We tried hard to get our camera shots to look somewhat like we described the scene, and it worked out pretty well, thats besides the completely unrealistic background.. since we don't have a random background scene laying around we had to get creative. An office chair which was basically broken was used as our rooftop, and when the raccoon was injured, we had used a circular sticky note to signify bleeding from injury. We wanted this story to show fighting and friendship, as it began with mugging, moved on to friendship, to betrayal, and finally friendship all over again. It was hard to depict emotion using inanimate objects, but after learning about camera shots it helped to create the emotion without there actually being any on the face.

I believe that i did well at taking some of the photos, but they definitely need improvement on the clearness, sharpness, and the positioning.
